ABSTRHIERTE WELTEN

Born in 1967, she lives and works in Germany. Beyond the Moment A singular photographic technique forms the basis of this artist’s “smearing pattern”. She moves the camera at the exact moment the photograph is taken, and in so doing creates such a mysterious randomising effect, that the tension of the shot is heightened. There is an interplay here between coincidence and planning. In her new series she opposes two different snapshots, in this way showing how coincidence can develop beyond the critical moment.
